  • 1824: The Bureau of Indian Affairs is created by the U.S Department of War.

  • 1941: The Lend-Lease Act is signed into law by U.S President Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II. This act allows American manufactured war supplies to be shipped to Allied nations on a loan basis.
  • 1945: The United States Pacific Fleet that is anchored at Ulithi Atoll is attacked by the Japanese Navy in a large-scale kamikaze attack.
