Lover’s Day

Lover’s Day is a holiday observed every April 23rd, giving everyone a chance to show their significant other just how much they love them. Even though Valentine’s Day is still considered the primary day for lovers to celebrate their love for one another, this holiday certainly provides lovers with a second chance to celebrate their love.

Although no one really knows who invented this holiday or when it was invented, many people believe that this holiday is based on St. George’s Day—a holiday celebrated all over Europe. It commemorates England’s patron saint, who supposedly killed a dragon and rescued a princess. Regardless of why this holiday was invented, it is a day that should help lovers keep the embers of their love burning.
