Tangible Karma Day

The concept of karma has been around for thousands of years and has made its way into the tenets of religions all around the world. At its most basic level, karma is the concept that what you do in this life ripples throughout eternity. That the things that you reap you shall also sow.

And that’s why an important concept is that people should treat people the way that they want to be treated. After all, what they put into the world comes back to them eventually. This is such an important concept that the holiday Tangible Karma Day was invented.

This day takes place on the first Saturday in April and encourages people to improve their karma by putting acts of kindness and goodwill into the world.

The History Of Tangible Karma Day

In 2005, Amber Nicole Dilger created a company known as Tangible Karma. Its purpose was to get people to recycle and reuse precious resources. This prevented things that could be reused from being just tossed into a landfill.

Although this holiday began as a call to everyone to recycle and think about the environment, it has since moved on beyond that purpose. It’s now also celebrated by people working to help out the less fortunate.

Observing Tangible Karma Day

There is a multitude of different ways of observing this holiday. People can take the time to organize recycling drives or drives to gather clothing for donation to charitable organizations.

People can also think about other ways that they can put good karma into the world. Maybe it’s helping a neighbor, giving someone your spare change on the way to work, or even giving someone some words of encouragement.

You can even spread good karma through social media, although that’s not usually what is spread on that medium. This can be done by using the hashtag #TangibleKarmaDay with a few kind words directed to a stranger. It’s actually very easy and can make a world of difference.
