  • 1735: Pluto moved inside the orbit of the planet Neptune for the last time before the 20th It would do it again in 1979.

  • 1750: The town of Halifax, Nova Scotia is almost completely burned to the ground by fire.
  • 1789: France’s Finance Minister, Jacques Necker, is dismissed. This act sparks the Storming of the Bastille.
  • 1796: Under terms of the Jay Treaty, the U.S takes possession of Detroit from Great Britain.
